Amendment to the text of the Synaxarium regarding apparation in Joshua 5:13-15

The Committee discussed what was mentioned in the Synaxarium regarding the apparition of the Commander of the army of the Lord to Joshua Son of Nun (Joshua 5:13-15) and what corrections are required in the Synaxarium regarding this. It has been agreed that the research completed by the Faith, Education and Legislative Committee [is correct]: that the apparition of the Commander of the army of the Lord to Joshua Son of Nun (Joshua 5:13-15) was one of the appearances of the Lord Christ in the Old Testament and it was not the Angel Michael as stated in the Synaxarium. It is necessary to correct this in the Synaxarium. The Holy Synod has agreed to this correction and His Holiness the Pope confirmed in the meeting that it was obligatory to correct [some of] the errors that are present in the Synaxarium and that we wish to have an edition free from errors.
