Amendments to the text of the Antiphonary regarding Pope Peter and St. Epiphanius


In the Antiphonary, it is necessary to remove the attack on Saint Pope Theophilus and Saint Epiphanius and attach the original text to the meeting file. The sections that must be removed from the Antiphonary are as follows:

  1. On the 16th day of the month of Toba (page 31), the Adam text is to be deleted from the start of the phrase, “the adversary could not withstand Your righteous teachings” until the phrase, “then exiled the Chief Priest”.
  2. Also on the same day (page 32), the Batos text is to be deleted from the phrase, “when you mention the pains that you brought on yourself” until the phrase, “my heart was saddened”.
  3. On the 17th day of the month of Hator (page 134), the Batos text is to be deleted from the start of the phrase, “the adversary could not withstand to be to be persecuted from Your heart” until the phrase, “to the knowledge of the truth”.
  4. On the 12th day of the month of Pashans (page 439), the Adam text is to be deleted from the start of the phrase, “the Queen cried with great power” until the phrase, “and ordered the exile of the Chief Priest”.
  5. Also on the same day (page 440), the Batos text is to be deleted from the start of the phrase, “the adversary could not withstand in itself” until the phrase, “to the knowledge of the truth”.
