Division of the dioceses of Italy and enthronment of bishops
The Fathers’ services in Italy have been divided into two dioceses, by an agreement signed and approved by His Holiness the Pope. The two dioceses are the Diocese of Milan and its affiliated regions, and the Diocese of Turin and Rome and its affiliated regions (and thus the names of the old sees have been preserved).
In the Feast of Pentecost 02/06/1996, His Grace Bishop Barnabas (ordained General Bishop on 11/06/1995) was appointed for Turin and Rome and its affiliated regions; and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos (ordained General Bishop on 22/06/1986) was appointed for Milan and its affiliated regions.
