Requirement of monks to return to monasteries
Every monk who spent 6 years or more in service must go to the monastery to spend a period of spiritual isolation for a year. Any exceptions for the monks who serve in the diaspora will be decided by His Holiness the Pope personally. Every diocese has the right, with the permission of His Holiness, to keep one monk as an warden for the Archdiocese. Special cases require special permission from His Holiness the Pope, provided that the warden for the Archdiocese and monks of special cases continue to visit the monastery. The period of service of the monk in the cities shall not exceed six continuous years. At the seventh year, he shall return to the monastery.
