Agreement to ordain the first 2 Bishops for the Church of Eritrea
His Holiness the Pope explained the need of our Eritrean sons abroad, who do not receive pastoral care from the Ethiopian Church, who resorted to His Holiness, asking that he appoint pastors who will care for their affairs. His Holiness the Pope has chosen two Eritrean monks who are graduates of the Seminary of Cairo, one of whom has served in the Church of the Virgin Mary in Chicago for the Orthodox Copts in the United States of America for a year and a half, and the second has a church abroad in England. It was decided that they will be ordained as general bishops in our Coptic Church.
