Response to monks who left the Monastery of the Angel, Mount Al-Nakalun
Regarding some of the monks who left the Monastery of the Angel, in Mount al-Nakalun:
After His Holiness Pope Shenouda III ordered that they be referred to the Monasteries Affairs Committee after they left the monastery in a spirit of rebellion, and the Committee heard the report of His Grace Bishop Abram, the Head of the monastery, and after the deliberation, the Committee decided to return three of them to the monastery of Archangel Gabriel, in Mount El-Nakalun, and distributing the rest to the monasteries of St. Bishoy (1); the Blessed Virgin, the Syrian (1); the Baramous (1); St. Mina (1); and St. George, the Khattabah (2); with a law to prevent them from taking up the sacraments for a period of two months. His Holiness the Pope and the Holy Synod adopted the decision of the Committee.
